Do you tattoo or pierce anyone under the age of 18?

We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18. We pierce minors over the age of 16 with parental consent. The minor will need a parent or legal guardian present (if you are a legal guardian you will need proper documentation to prove legal guardianship). This will also require the minors birth certificate and both parties will need state issued I.D.’s, passports or military I.D. with matching addresses. School I.D. and paper I.D. does not qualify for these purposes.

Our piercers offers lobe piercings for minors of 8 years of age or older; the minor’s parent must provide a state or government issues ID as well as the minor’s birth certificate at the time of service. Please call the shop directly at (480) 621-8819 for availability.

How much do you charge for tattoos?

We charge $150 hourly depending on the artist. Some artists may choose to also charge by the piece or half and full day rates, which are roughly based on the hourly rate. Our shop minimum price for tattoos is $80.

Do I have to make an appointment for tattoos or piercings?

Piercings are done on a walk-in basis only. Some of our artists are available by appointment only while other artists do accept walk-ins if they have the availability; the Artist’s Availability can be found at the beginning of their online portfolios. We will never refuse service to someone based on their: race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or disability. We believe in love and equality for all people. Individual tattoo artists may also reserve the right to not offer certain tattoos in addition to the ones previously listed based on their own personal beliefs. While those beliefs may not necessarily represent those of Salt & Light Tattoo or it’s other staff members, we believe in preserving the rights and freedoms for all artists to make their own choices in regards to what messages they choose to not send within the art they create and the freedom to choose to not participate in creating specific art.
